Upload issues

Last night at around 11:30PM my internet cut off. According to the network connections in my router the coax cable was 'disconnected'. However, it wasn't. The MoCa LED was flashing amber on my ONT. I called verizon tech support and the representative said it was taking a lot longer than it should to access information on my account, or send commands to my ONT.

Eventually he was able to send commands to my ONT and reset it, and give me a new IP address which fixed the connectivity issue.

However, ever since then I have been getting terrible bandwidth speeds-I was getting 1Mbps up and down last night..and couldn't use the bandwidth I need that I pay for. It was like having DSL.

I called back and was told that their support agent was down, and they couldn't even access my ONT now, and was given a submission ID because a support ticket could not be created.

This morning I was getting my normal download speeds, however my upload is not going past 5Mbps..and now my download is terrible again.

Also... my pingtest and speedtest results..

http://www.pingtest.net/result/75867033.png - this is awful.

http://www.speedtest.net/result/2450146180.png -  Unacceptable...

I was doing these tests on a server that is less than 15 miles away from my house, and is closer to the node than I am.

ONT's can be reset manually if support can't do it for you.

Thank you for the information, I was already aware of how to manually reset my ONT though.

The issue is not with my ONT, it is with verizon's node.

After continuously dropping my DHCP lease and renewing it, I was routed to a different node, and now everything is fine.
