When you read that it translates to "will not happen"

but at least you know now.  No one can give you a better answer.

I don't think it's possible. But your manual is listed at the link I gave you above.

Good Luck

Hi paballard:

My M1424WR Rev I is located in office,so are Dell printer and 2 PC's.

Both PC's are wirelessly connected to printer.

PC's are in a HomeGroup in a Local Area Network

Been working great for years

Unfortunately the printer I bought only has a usb port.  Thought it was network capable - my bad.

There are network print servers that can fix that problem. It may just be easier to return the printer though.

The problem is most printers even if AirPrint enabled require a USB cable connected to the printer for initial setup. Look at the quick start guide for your printer.

however you could purchase another up to date printer (HP still has the $40 model, as well as Canon) which can be connected wirelessly.

the USB port hooks from your printer to the USB port on your computer. You then after setup unplug the cable and it will be available to you under network wireless printing.

then all other computers and smart devices connect with it.

it really is easy, only sounds hard to do.

My Canon printer allows setup via a menu system on the printer itself.
And I have seen a number of others that are similar (besides Canon).
