We just installed the Parental Controls from VISS on our computers. But now, it seems like everything we do on the net is way, way slower. We have 20/5, and typically get download speeds of 11-14 Mbps when we do a speed test. But now we're getting only 3-4 Mbps. Does the Parental Control program slow things down that much?! What, if anything, can we do to fix this (short of just uninstalling it)?

If you disable the parental controls software, does the connection speed increase? I've known the Parental Controls in the Verizon router to slow down the Internet access as a whole, but I've not known VISS's version of the software to slow anything down. If it does prove to be a problem with VISS that cannot be solved, I'd suggest using OpenDNS to at least block websites at the DNS level (if this is what you are trying to achieve) rather than having things being blocked on the fly.
Give us back the information I asked for above, and we'll see what we can do to fix the problem.
