Verizon Installed the Orange Conduit but Never Installed FIOS!

I had FIOS for the past 3 years in my previous house and was EXTREMELY happy with the service.  I just moved into a new (to me) house at the end of November which was built in 2005.  There are currently 6 houses on my road.  FIOS was installed on the roads surrounding my road but Verizon skipped my road for some reason.  They did, however, install the orange flexible conduit underground in front of everyone's house, right next to boxes marked "Verizon".

When I called Verizon before moving, the customer service rep said she'd contact engineering and they'd take a look at it.  I called back a couple of weeks later and another customer service rep said  she saw in the notes that engineering looked and there's not enough "density" for them to install FIOS.  I'm assuming this means they don't want to spend the money to run FIOS down our road because there's only 6 houses.  Here's the funny part, I had a problem with my Verizon copper phone line when we moved in and they sent a technician out to fix the problem.  When he was here I asked about the flexible orange conduit running down the road and splitting in front of everyone's house, right next to boxes marked "Verizon".  He said the orange conduit was definitely installed for them to run the fiber optic lines for FIOS and we should have FIOS availability on our road.

In addition, last week the homebuilder installed a bunch of signs stating they will begin construction on 9 more houses on our road.  Now we're up to 15 houses, you can't tell me Verizon doesn't want 15 new FIOS customers!

The customer service reps on the phone don't seem to be able to do anything for us except for just repeating over and over that their database says we can't have it.  How can my neighbors and I get in contact with someone at Verizon to get the ball rolling on FIOS after the process seemed to already have started (orange conduit installed) but is now stalled?

PLEASE HELP!!!

These are peer to peer forums. Sometimes verizon might esculate the issue though.

You might want to try the cs on social media like facebook or twitter.

roaddogg,

Thanks for the response.  I knew this was a p2p forum before I posted my message.  I posted it because I've seen in many instances in these forums where Verizon employees have escalated the issue to a point where it gets resolved, which is what I need.  Calling the 800# multiple times has gotten me nowhere.  I truly hope a Verizon employee sees my post and is nice enough to help me here.

Well I called again and explained that the home builder just started building more homes on our road for a total of 15 homes on our road.  The lady on the phone did not seem to understand.  She just kept saying she'd send a message to engineering stating I wanted FIOS installed at my house.  That's not what I'm saying.  Verizon already obviously started the installation a while back by laying the orange conduit in the ground and terminating it next to the Verizon boxes in front of everyone's house on our road.  I want Verizon to finish what they started - which is installing FIOS.  How can the road right next to mine have only 2 or 3 homes on it and have FIOS but my road with 6 existing homes plus 11 more coming not have FIOS?  This does not make sense to me and nobody on the phone will listen when I call.

And thats what engineerig needs to determine.  Remember they have to check the whole thing out both the optical connection near you, back to the CO, and equipment installed and ready at the CO.  Once engineering checks it out and adds your address to the database (and yes its sometimes just entries missing in the database), then someome can be dispatched to actually do an install at your house.
