Verizon should be EMBARRASSED!

Verizon should be downright embarrassed by their network's performance (yet we all know they just don't care).

The latest Netflix Speed Index was released. Where did Verizon Fios place?

8th out of 16 among major ISPs.

49th out of 60 overall

Verizon - truly a network ahead ...of not many other ISPs.

Google Fiber, the same who's been first for several months already.

Look how much Comcast moved up now that they have a deal with Netflix.  FIOS is pretty much at the bottom of major ISPs.

According to the link http://ispspeedindex.netflix.com/usa  Google Fiber isn't even listed, not sure why but I've always seen them on top of the list. Cablevision is on the top of the list and only because they have the open connect partner agreement.

Click the "include smaller ISPS"  Google is 1st on that list.

Note on the exclude smaller ISPS, Verizon FIOS is down 1, mostly because Comcast went up 6 since their deal.  Verizon's speed is listed as up over Feb.  With all the complaining I am surprised they are only eighth of the larger ISPS.

This chart tells the story better:

http://ispspeedindex.netflix.com/results/usa/graph?field_date_value%5Bmin%5D%5Byear%5D=2013&field_da...

Note how FIOS has dropped significantly in the past 6 mos. and ComCast has really improved in just one month.  If you click Show All you can see how much better Google FiIber is - that just shows what FIOS could be if the Verizon marketing people would let the Verizon Technical people do their thing.

I've got the 35/35 service and I've never seen Netflix run at better than 720SD quality.  Can someone please tell me what's wrong with this picture?

The problem is look at who FIOS is better than, a bunch of DSL operations.

People didn't get FIOS and its wonderful fiber optics to be beat out by most cable companies.

When you do the math Comcast now has a 30% edge over FIOS when it comes to Netflix.  That is significant.

Verizon shouldn't be embarrassed it's their employees and the customers! I'm cancelling my **bleep** as soon as I get  A CHANCE, I've been a customer for just a day and a half now and I've gotten nothing but straight up random disconnects ever since I've been installed in my home, horrible customer service and unreliable net speeds whenever I DO get connected, I'm 75 mps and the max I've gotten is around 52mps W T F. They better not charge me cancellation fees and refund me any money they might have billed me for. But if they don't I'm definetly going to try and take this into some sort of court if I can. I did not get anything from them therefore they shouldn't take anything from me.

And if any of you lot know of a better service provider for north ne jersey please let me know!
