Very slow wireless

Hello guys, I have been getting great help from this forum, and I appreciate it greatly. I have recently started seeing very slow wireless speeds, 35/15 when my wired connection is 95/75, paying for 100/100. When the tech installed the router, the wireless tested at 75/70, and he siad there was nothing he could do about it. The router is upstairs in my office, which I have recently installed a slate floor.

Could it be the slate floor that is causing this?

How do I do a proper reboot or restart?

Should I be getting full 100/100 for wired? Should I be complaining if I dont?

What are acceptable wireless speeds for 100/100?

What kind of access point can I run, or is the "booster" offered by verizon better?

Start by testing a wired connection to speedtest.Verizon.net

That tests your connection to Verizon network which is all they guarantee.

If that is 100/100 then they are meeting what they promised.

For wireless a number of factors can affect performance.

If you have an android phone, download an app called WiFi analyzer.

It can show you issues with other signals on the same or nearby channels and rcommned other channels.

Yes, slate could affect performance.

Verizon sells or you can find a moca extender.

Or if you have Ethernet access you can use another router to act as an access point.
