Video Streaming and DNS problems

I just replaced my ActionTec router (failed power supply) with another Verizon supplied unit.  In the 10 days since, I'm having really severe problems with DNS lookups being really slow, web pages freezing or timing out, video streaming (YouTube, CNN, CSPAN, ABC etc) working about 60 to 90 seconds then freezing and the connection being lost.  On-line gaming connections are being lost every two or three minutes etc.  I have the same problems on three different laptops and two hardwired desktops.  I'm  also having problems with video on demand through FIOS TV.  Streaming videos start, then freeze within a few minutes, frequently hard-resetting the HD-DVR box.

Is this a universal network congestion problem or is it my replacement ActionTec?

If this is an ActionTec provided by Verizon, those routers has a issue of having a small/tiny NAT table
