Website AccessIssues

I have been trying to access this website for two weeks now.  I could access it when I had Comcast and I work for the federal government and can access it at work.  The site is www.abacuspub.com.   I have contacted them and they are reporting no issues.  Any ideas as to what the issue is.

Also, I have another site that I was accessing since I have been on Verizon.  But just this past week, while I can access the website, when I click on another folder within the site, it goes nowhere.  I contacted the website's tech dept and they are not having any issues, and I am able to access the site and folder at work.

Thanks,

Rockets

No issue here.  Have you tried to clean out your browser history, delete temp files, etc.  Have you tried to use a different browser or PC?

The most common reason for not being able to get to a web site is a blocked IP address. That simply means that at some point in the past, the IP address you now have was used to hack or otherwise attack the web site.

That is a problem that Verizon is, to be polite, not helpful in resolving. You should be able to check your IP address for blacklisting. There are several available sites, for example

http://whatismyipaddress.com/staticpages/index.php/is-my-ip-address-blacklisted

Anyway if you have a black listed IP you try contacting the site administrator and point out that the IP address in question is now assigned to Verizon. You can also try to get a different IP address, but often the IP address will be in the same blocked group.

Generally the only way to get a New IP address is to make sure your router/modem is offline (turned off) when the IP address lease expires. That tosses your IP address into the available pool, and with any luck, someone else will get it, and you will get a new IP address. However this is far from guaranteed to work.
