When I receive an e-mail through verizon.net that has a link to a website, the link is not active (underlined and in blue font). I have to cut the link from the body of the e-mail and then paste in the browser. Is there a setting so that you can click a web address in e-mail to link to it?

I receive emails with live links all of the time using the Verizon email servers. I am using Outlook Express, what email client are you using? Maybe there is a setting in your client that is preventing the links from being live.
Edit: I also just went into the Verizon Webmail application and opened an email there, the links are live there also.

Linking in webmail only works with IE, Firefox and Crome it will not work. webmail was only coded with IE in mind without regards to other browsers (Webkit browsers). So you would have to use IE, or a client like outlook or outlook express, or mozillas mail client.
