What is an ONT?  I am having a similar problem of slow upload speeds.  I have run all of the diagnostic/troubleshooting steps on Verizon's website and have been sitting on the phone on hold just waiting to get a hold of someone at Verizon.  Please help!!

The ONT is the box where the fiber goes into in your house. It is typically in your garage or someplace like a laundry room. It also has the battery backup.

Lots of models  of the ont's.  Always where the fiber is converted to TV/moca/ethernet.  But sometimes outside.  And often the Battery/BPS are seperate.
