Why isn't Verizon FiOS 75/75 in my area, but 150 is?

I really want to get 75 mbps download, 75 mbps upload. I noticed this option is not available anymore on the website. Last year the option was available!

Could it be a bpon ONT issue? I know if I upgrade to 150mbps then I'll get a gpon. Is this the reason why 75 isnt available?

Please let me know what can be done.

It is for me.

When I log in to my account it gives me an option to upgrade to 75/75 (currently 50/50) for $10/month.

Most likely that is the case. If you have an older bpon ont then you need a gpon upgrade. The only way they will do it is if you upgrade to 150 to make the cost of the trip and replacement worth it for them.

What you can do is what a lot of people do. Order service for 150, have the new ont installed then once it's up and going simply downgrade to 75.
