Wi-Fi Connect - Need Many More Hotspots, Such As Optimum Wi-Fi

Verizon's Wi-Fi Connect service only functions in very limited indoor hotspot areas such as Starbucks and Barnes & Noble stores.

In the NY Metropolitan area, the  three local cable companies such as Cablevision's Optimum Wi-Fi, have wide ranging wi-fi hotspot coverage that can be easily accessed with a laptop.  When is Verizon going to have a comprehensive competitive system?
