I have also found that besides changing the channel to also check how many devices your router is set to accept. Mine was set to 5 and between laptops, phones, and IPads this wasn't enough. Now my router only goes to 10 and I have 11-12 at least when friends bring their stuff with them but so far not to much problems.  Also on the channel I have run into my neighbor being on my channel and I have to change mine but the people across the street when on the same channel don't usually bother me. I also use inSIDDer. Nice little free download. Any time I start havering connection issue with the Apple devices, I just run that and look to see if there is a better channel.
