Wifi connection to internet dropping constantly. Related to install of MOCA access point?

We have a large house and Verizon Fios. Having the Actiontec router on the first floor meant no signal on the second floor (due to some concrete walls between). So, we purchased a second router to install upstairs directly to the coax. We turned off the IP address (after releasing it) etc. and got it running.

Since that time, however, I am noticing that the wireless will periodically drop connection to the internet. At those times, we still have connection to the routers at full strength, but we aren't able to load any pages or use email. Sometimes it's every 10-15 minutes; last night it was every minute or two and very disruptive. It only lasts a few seconds, but that is enough when it happens that often to make workflow impossible.

Ideas?

Is this drop-out happening on both access points or just the second one upstairs? You may wish to take a look at the MoCa speed for your upstairs AP. if it's below 200Mbps it's possible you've got a marginal signal coming in through the Coax. Either it's a long run, or the cable is of lower quality (perhaps not RG6 or better?).
