Help!
I have called CS and no one has been able to confirm if my fax machine will work with the Fios internet phone service.
Thanks,
Bill

Are you talking about VOIP (such as Vonage), or fiber optic telephone service?
In reality both sould work. The Fax data rates are quite low compared to the underlying data rate for either service, so I would very surprised if there was any difference. Most of the Long distance and International network are all digital anyway, VOIP and Fiber Optic telephone service just move the digital gateway closer to the phone jack.

Yes, your Fax machine will work. The present fiber-optic voice services deployment for Verizon exactly duplicates the copper services you previously enjoyed. The same services of a separate ring tone/pattern or separate line are also available.
The VOIP offered by Verizon (different from the standard phone service sold with the common FiOs package) should also be fine for faxing if you are buying this, but will not work if for any reason the internet is off.
If the fax machine will not be available for testing when FiOs is installed, be sure to have a test phone available for the jack which will be used for the fax machine so the tech can assure service there. If a separate phone number/line will be used be sure you communicate clearly with your tech which jacks are to be for the fax line.
