Wireless Internet

Is it possible to create a home network with just the router Verizon supplies us with? Or must we buy something, other than wireless cards.

The router and a network card are all you need.  You can either run a cat5 cable between the router and the computer for a 'wired' connection, or use a wireless card or wireless USB adapter without the cable for a 'wireless' connection.  Most laptops sold recently have a wireless card built in.

Certainly you can. The Actiontec router Verizon supplies, despite the criticisms some people heap upon it, works very well, at least for me. I have a small home network, one wired desktop, one wireless desktop, and one wireless laptop. Works just fine. The router has 4 ethernet ports, so it is easy to attach 4 wired devices, but you can add more by hooking a switch to one of the ports. And you can attach a lot of wireless devices if you want, all you need for that is wireless adapters in each of the PCs.

Just curious, why the question? Why would you doubt that you could set up a home network?
