Last week the fiber optic lines were cut in our area - 08807. Since service has been restored, wireless connections have been no better than 24 Mbps. Has anyone else experienced this? Wired connections are fine. Laptops, ipod touch connections, extremely slow. I work from home and family is also getting frustrated.

Have you tried changing the channel on the router?

Wireless speeds are not affected by the fios. The 24Mbs is the connection between the router and the computer only. That speed only indicates how strong of a wireless connection you have between the computer and router. This can be caused by a lot of things but the fiber cut is not one of them. Just a coincidence that it happened at that time. Things you want to try.
Reboot or reset the router
check for interference sources in the home (cordless phones at 2.4GHz, some central air furnaces can cause interference when they turn on)
Check the distance between the computer and router. If possible move the computer closer to check.
post back if still having an issue if you can eliminate these type of problems.

Hi, in addition, one other thing to try is setting your router to 802.11g only.
