I've been told 15/5 FIOS only service is 54.99, but now I'm being billed $69.99. Is this what everyone else is being billed?

Just a friendly reminder, this is a forum where users help other users. It looks like your issue may require a Verizon representative to review your account details. Please contact our customer service team via live chat or email at:

Thank you. I will try email. I spent 2 hours on the phone today... They just kept transferring me from one operator to another. 11th, yes 11th operator told me she will call me back after 10-15 min after examining the issue. She never did.
I've been wandering is this $15 some kind of hidden fee?
I've been Verizon customer for 9 years, but frankly I'm fed up with some of Verizon policies that seem more like scams. Why can't Verizon just be happy I'm paying my bills, instead of trying to cheat me for a few dollars here and there?
In 9 years I never missed a bill payment, but right now I'm leaning toward not paying this bill and never using Verizon again.

As far as I am aware, there are no hidden fees with FiOS service, and I've been a FiOS customer for almost 3 years now.
My guess is for whatever reason, you either didn't get 15/5 service, or are paying for 25/25 tier of service. The $69.95 price corresponds to the 25/25 tier without home telephone service from Verizon.
You might run a speed ( http://ndt.anl.gov) test or Verizon's speed test and see what service you actually have. If it turns out to be 15/5, then this is a billing error, and needs to be sorted out by Verizon. If you have 25/25 service, that's also an issue for Verizon to sort out.
If you are unable to get any resolution, send me a Private message.

I have a question about the taxes and fees on a FIOS Internet-only plan in Pennsylvania. I've had one representative tell me that there are no taxes or fees, and $54.99 a month is the final total. I've had another insist that there ARE taxes and fees, and they will add $6 to $15 per month to the bill. I'm on a tight budget, so the answer will determine whether or not I use FIOS, but I can't get a straight answer.
According to http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r25274584-Billing-Are-there-any-taxes-with-FiOS-15-5-internet-ONLY-
there shouldn't be taxes, but that doesn't help with getting Verizon to confirm that.
I used chat twice this week to try to find out, and finally complained because the first chat operator lied to me about the price (saying it was $54.99/month, but I could get a $5/month discount if I signed up online.) I submitted a complaint and a supervisor was supposed to call me back on Thursday morning, to verify the correct pricing and taxes. No one ever called.
Can someone on here please let me know what the real cost is for FIOS internet-only in Pennsylvania? And how much the taxes and fees will add to the bill every month?
Way to annoy a potential customer, Verizon!

No taxes or fees on internet only in PA.
The $54.99 you see online is what you pay if ordered online.
The "$5 discount" is from the $59.99 price if you order over the phone.
You can save an additional $5 ($49.99) is you have a VZ landline.
AFAIK, the "new customer discounts" apply only to bundles.
