I have a Polycom SoundPoint IP 335 phone that my company has provided me for use with OpenUC as an office phone for telecommuting, however I am not getting it to reliably work. We have attempted disabling ALG SIP, setting firewall to allow open access to the IP, adjusting QoS, and even replacing the phone outright and it is flat not working.
I have coworkers that have no problem running this phone on high speed internet connections. My IT dept believes my router is preventing this from working properly. Is it possible to have my FiOS setup to where I don't have to use the 9100EM router/modem combo and can just use a Linksys or Netgear router?

- Can I use my wireless or an extra router along with the Verizon provided router?

In short, if you have Internet only, you can ask Verizon to activate the ethernet port, and then you would personally plug in an ethernet cable to their ONT (service terminal) And into your router, and you will be fine.
If you have TV, then you may want to explore the options listed above for the right configuration.
