I also, now in mid-October, am suffering from Verizon email lockout on a sub-account.  I waited through the 20 minutes of hold and then chat and phone process, to have a temporary pwd set.  Using that, I was able to reset my pwd. . . or so I thought.  I read and cleared my inbox... then logged out.  Immediately I attempted a login again,  but was immediately advised that the new pwd was incorrect!   How frustrating is that?   They helped me reset it, then immediately it became invalid on the 'next' usage.  I am now ComcastReady... that's the phone, cable and internet alternative where I live, and I'm going to me moving to them soon.
