Currently, the search engine on my Verizon homepage is Google. I want to change it to Bing. Can that be done & how?

1. Yes it can be changed, but it varies from browser to browser. For recent versions of Internet Explorer (I use 9)

Control panel - internet options - general tab- Search - settings -

If the Search engine you want is in the list click on it once - listing order - Move up to 1

If it is not in the list - Find more search providers - select the one you want and make it default. close the dialog and launch Internet explorer

2. or do it the easy way - http://www.bing.com/set/search

Please let us know if this is what you need

What is meant by "my Verizon homepage"?  If you are referring to the main MyVerizon site or portal, this page shows two search boxes.  One searches the forums and online community, and the other searches the MyVerizon pages themselves.  If you wish to change these, that option is not available.

OTOH if you wish to change your default search engine for the Web, Jose has already addressed this issue in much detail.

Not quite what I was looking for. The Verizon home page displays a search space. It also let you chose between using Google as the search engineor or use a Verizon search of its data. . I would like it to give me a choice of those two, and also Bing.

Just to be sure, are we talking about the site search box in the upper right corner of all VZ forum pages?

One workaroud is to go to bing.com and use an entry like this:

site:http://verizon.com/  Whatever you are looking for

Make sure to leave a space after the .... com/     then type Whatever you are looking for
