I'm having issues with my G1100 router. Every few seconds, my ping spikes. It's not a bandwidth issue with verizon because ping the router itself reveals that it's spiking.
Here's what i looks like from my laptop being in the same room as the router.

Checking the router both the 5ghz and 2.4ghz band has packet errors.
Any ideas?

Sounds like interference.
Have you tried changing channels on your router?
If you have an android device, download an app call Wifi Analyzer.
It can tell if there are other routers on the same channel as you and provide recommendations for the optimal channel.

Did this start happening with the G1100 being installed or has it cropped up recently with the G1100's wireless working fine previously?
I've seen some aggressive power saving measures cause this. But as the above poster mentioned, Interference is certainly not out of the question.
