my plan is 25/15 and i just got it installed, yesterday it was 25m downstream all time, but now.....

I am not downloading anything, no P2P/FTP or whatsoever. As the upstram is so good, I dont think it's a hardware problem. Anyone experiences similar problem? I live in NY.

btw, ping test here

You are not alone...... I have the 20/20 service and today it's creeping at 1700 kbps dn and 6206 kbps up. Packet loss is at 90% in th verizon network and they say "we don't see any network problem"

I also live in NY and spent an hour and a half on hold just getting through

I too live in NY and have 20/5 speed, however it is now 1.9 download and around a 4 upload. IT certainly looks like a Verizon issue. If anybody hears something please let me know.

Crazy slow speeds in northern VA tonight. Is there no status page for FIOS?

Having the same problem here with 20/5 plan. We've had it for a few years and have not had this problem before as far as I am aware. Restarting the router did not help at all. It was completely fine yesterday. I also live in NY.

I am also having the same problem. I'm a NY user, and I had FIOS for roughly 3 years.  100% satisified with it, never had any problems.  I am on the 20/25 plan, and starting last night, I have had terrible speed.  Speedtest reports 1.5mb/s down and 14mb/s up,  Actual download speeds on firefox result in roughly 80kbs.  SVN suffers the same results with simular upload, and I have about 2.5gigs worth of work I need uploaded  by tomorrow at 3 or else I am going to set back my work project by a week.

*Edit* Here is a link to my traceroutes.

Same here in Fairfax, VA. Downloads from acronis @35-50/KB/sec. Ping to oracle.com normally 59ms are 91-111/sec
