I need an explanation of the home media DVR. I understand that three different TV's can view shows recorded from this DVR, but can all 3 TV's set recordings from their locations or must the recording settings be done at the "main" TV? If this is the case, it doesn't seem very convenient. Would 2 or 3 separate DVR receivers in 2 or 3 different rooms give me more flexibility although at higher cost? Can anyone tell me the difference in cost of a single home media DVR versus having 2 or 3 separate DVR receivers?

No you can't schedule anything from the non Home Media DVR. But they are great because you can watch any show you record on the 1 HM DVR in and room that have a SD (SD shows only) or HD STB (Non DVR).
