is it possible to use my verizon dsl modem/router as a standalone router?

if so, can i connect that to my fios modem/router, disable the fios router wifi and go through the dsl routers wifi?

You can't use you DSL modem in place out you Actiontech Router. As I suggested in the other thread, just go and get the Trendnet. It will immediately solve all your headaches.

You should give the link to the router too.
Just curious, why would you need 2 routers?

I use two routers myself. The second one acts like a wifi extender. Plus it is a draft 802.11n

The Trendnet I was referring to isn’t the router but the Wireless Access Point(Signal Booster) See link above to a another link to the actual product.. Basically, you turn off the wireless signal in the actiontech router and plug in the Trendnet WAP into the Actiontech Ethernet Port and you are good to go.
Boosts your speeds from the Actiontech Wireless G to the Trendnet’s Wireless N. Much stronger stable signals and no more wireless drops. That has been my experience for over a month.
