You really should not have to worry about the bookmarks, but just to make sure nothing screwy happens (microsoft), i would export your bookmarks to a flash drive or your desktop.

Wishful thinking. My experience with both Cox and Qwest was that while they disabled my email account, so I could no longer log in and retrieve my mail, they didn't actually shut it down for literally months.. If I send email to my old Qwest account, it bounces, but only because the mailbox has past the storage limit, not because it isn't there any longer.
They are much better about disabling your access to email then they are about removing your email account, so when you discontinue your service, often any mail destined there goes into the proverbial bit bucket, and is NOT returned. It seemed to take literally months for the email account to actually be removed so mail would bounce instead of disappear.

The Verizon salesperson told me that my Road Runner email will continue to work for 6 months; is that not true?
There are many sites I have registered for that I am concerned I won't find soon. For example, MySpace; it is very difficult to change the email address for a MySpace account when we don't have access to the email that the account has in it. Fortunately I took care of that, but I almost missed it. I am concerned about missing others, though, so I asked the salesperson about this explicitly, to ensure I will have more time; it seemed unlikely to me that I would have 6 months but he was very confident when he said I will have 6 months.
If I lose all my email from my Road Runner account as soon as I discontinue Road Runner, then I will sure not be happy. If the salesperson was incorrect, then that is not the only incorrect thing that the salesperson said.
