How can I hook my usb hard drive into my network to use as a multi computer back up drive.  The Actiontec m1424wr  does not have a usb port.

#1 Connect this USB device to one of your computers.

b) Really important: Before that if the manaul for this USB drive/device says to Install the software first, install the software first !

#2 Then use Windows File Sharing.

If on Windows XP Pro, this means.. http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp_filesharing/index.htm

If on Windows XP Home, this means http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp/filesharing.htm

If on Windows Vista, this means http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/vista/010808vista_networking_tips.htm

If on Windows 98, Windows 98 SE or Windows ME: This means http://www.wellesley.edu/Computing/FileSharing/Windows/win98me.html

They also make a USB to NAS Adapter which will allow you to connect the drive to your network and have it available to all of your PCs and Laptops.
