Received new router from Verizon. Have been unable to get my printer which previously was connected via wi-fi to my computer. Entered new information about router and password. Still no printer connection. Any suggestions, please?

I would set it up via USB connection as first use. I know that canon printers have a tendency to give you a set up disk and or you can download the printers drivers from the manufacturers web site.
if you run the set up program it will give you the set up wireless option. You then make sure the printer is on, then when setup finds the network (Fios) you select it and put in the password.
It should connect without any problems.
