"Upload Proof of residency" NOT available in app, website, or anywhere online

Message 1 of 2

I am starting new service and I received the following email:

"Thanks for recently placing an order with Verizon. Another customer is currently receiving service at the address you provided. Before we can complete your order, we will need to arrange to have their services disconnected.

To expedite this process, please provide us with one of the following:

  • Real Estate Purchase Agreement or Sales Contract*
  • Property Deed or Title*
  • Mortgage Billing Statement*
  • Lease or Rental Agreement*
  • Utility Bill

The fastest and easiest way to provide us with this information is to first make sure you're registered, and then sign in to the My Fios app or the My Verizon page. Select Upload proof of residency to upload any of the requested documents."

Well when you go to any of those links/apps there is no option to upload any files. I refuse to go to a Verizon store during a pandemic and it's 2020, I'm not faxing information to a "telecommunications" company.

Is there an email or anyway to get the information to Verizon?

Hi jdc_2020,

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Please check your Private Messenger Inbox for a message from a Verizon Support agent. You can find your Inbox by clicking on your username at the top right corner of this page and then clicking the envelope icon that appears at the top of the menu. Response times may vary and may be delayed at this time. Please continue to check your Inbox for a reply from a Verizon agent. Please direct all correspondence concerning your issue to the agents who will be assisting you privately.
