I recently had to reset my modem back to the original settings to get out of a problem. I had forgotten the ID and password would revert back to the default and have entered the password wrong too many times consecutively. I continue to reccieve the following error and cannot access my router settings:
"Login has been temporarily disabled due to too many unsuccessful login attempts. Please try again later."
Any suggestrions?

Do a hard reset again.
The password should be on the service tag.

There's software out there that might retrieve it for you.
I have seen such software free for download at Majorgeeks.com
You can check there and try it, but other than that you would need to be able to guess the right password.
The newest Version of Verizon's router the REV I which has two antenna's and a red band around it can be changed remotely by Verizon, so if you had that one, you would want to contact Verizon Support either by calling in or via chat
