I just got the 25/15 plan....http://myspeed.visualware.com/ shows my donwload speed at 26.0 Mbps (of about 67.2 Mbps) dont know why it says of 67.2 Mbps...anyway upload shows 24.2 Mbps (which is the "fluff" ive heard about)....but then on speakeasy i get same 26 Mbps+ download speed but cant get past 9.5 Mbps on the upload...now i have tried uploading to a server which can easily attain 100 Mbps+ speeds and i max out at a steady 12 Mbps

What the hell is going on here? whats with all the mixed results....25 Mbps fluff would be great but obviosuly a bonus....but 12 Mbps is cablevision "in specs" territory

Sounds like your getting what you should, and thwe connection is working fine

speeds are up to the package max

If you are getting mixed results from different third party speedtest sites... maybe you should direct the questions of why theese results at this site, to the sites themselves...

try testing in a few states with stars on http://speedtest.net that is what the tech support for fios tech support reccomends using, I would say I have always enjoyed the sweet results of that site.

The verizon speedtest is the worst of all

it is written in JAVA and is horrible and slow and normally wrong

do not use it, do not trust it

I have always had good and acurate results from Verizon's speed test. Many speed tests including NDT servers are written around java and work fine. You need to have a good connection at and a big enough pipe on the server to truly test the throughput. Some servers are not set up correctly to restrict the number of consecutive test.

Here are results from my 20/5 connection to Argon National Laboratory in IL, Yes I have not upgraded to the 25/15 and as long as I can keep my price, I do not plan on doing so.

I like http://speedtest.net because you can test all over the world, one time I was having issues with slow speeds and then guy at verizon was all hey try a test to istanbul, and it was fast again.

Yes cool web site, and Verizon is not the best at everything. I had good connection to Bermuda and I wish I could go there.

i stand by my comments about verizon Java speedtest.... I have seen with my own eyes it be consitently wrong..... on different connections and different machines, while jumping over to another speedtest site shows the correct speeds...

But hey, right on, I am glad it works for someone
