I just got converted  to FIOS internet from Verizon DSL and now  I'm not able to view any streaming web cams. spent many hours with Verizon technical support but they were no help. It's not a PC issue because I can view them on a non Verizon network.

No, I'm at a web site to view the streaming feed and nothing happens. With DSL I had no problems.

If you can provide me with any details such as what type of camera, closed circuit, is it in the network or outside etc it would be more understandable as to what may be the root cause. Please feel free to send private messages if you like so we don't flood this thread with to many small bits of information. thanks.

Joe,

This is what I found out so far. It seems that some other company is blocking my ip address that I got when I migrated to FIOS. Do you know of anyway to have this unblocked.

#1 Is/are the ports open from the net?

This means using any of the following web sites...

grc.com shields up

http://www.dyndns.com/support/tools/openport.html

http://www.whatsmyip.org/ports/

http://www.canyouseeme.org/

#2 What is the brand and model of this router?

#3 Do you have only one computer or at least two computers behind this router?

I used the sites that you suggested above and they are telling me that my IP address is being blocked.  Is it possible for verizon to reassign an IP address from a different series?  Verizon support says that they do not block anything.  Since changing from DSL to FIOS I have not been able to connect to any live streaming web cams i.e.  webcam.keywest.com.

On line 13 of the tracert,  does the star indicate that this is where the block begins?

#2 What is the brand and model of this router?   Router is -- Actiontec-- model # MI424WRGEN2-4

#3 Do you have only one computer or at least two computers behind this router?  2 computers are on this router
