I have the cradlepoint 95 can i use it intead of the one verizon provided?

It depends on if you have FiOS TV or not.  If you have FiOS TV, then no you can't replace the actiontec router, but you can add your router, in addition to, the actiontec.   http://www.dslreports.com/faq/verizonfios/3.0_Networking#12506
