want to use my Apple Airport Extreme

I want to use my Apple AE as the wireless router. Rather than hooking directly from the FIOS box (as others have suggested), I want to know if hooking up to a stand-alone actiontec Verizon Coax Network adapter will let me use my AE. I don't need all the TV features stuff from Verizon because I am using Tivo.

Another method I've seen on the net is to set Actiontec router to be pass through instead of primary but unfortunately I can't get it to work correctly. My option at this point is to purchase the Coax network adapter.

Thanks for everyone feedback.

You can not use the Actiontec ECB2500 for MOCA WAN. Only units certified for channel C4 will work for MOCA WAN

So Actiontec Model ECB2200V would work?

No.  If you read the link I posted, you would have seen that neither the ECB2200 or ECB2500 is certified for channel C4.

Got it. The compatible devices are all discontinued.
