Effective February 4, 2014 Fios has removed MASN2 from the lineup. This means that alot of Washington Nationals games will NOT be on FIOS. I was told it was due to a contract dispute between Verizon and MASN. I have tried to find out what the particulars are, no luck yet. We still have MASN which will always defer to the Baltimore Orioles. If anyone has any facts or resolutions to offer, please post. My thanks.

There is a notice in the message center that says "On or after February 3, 2014, the channel positions for MASN2 and CSNMA Plus SD & HD will be realigned. Please check your channel guide for the new channel positions."
Are you sure it's being removed and not just moved?

I think the OP misinterpreted the STB message. It's not being removed, the channel is being moved. I received the same message jmh40 quoted.

Not sure where the OP is located, but I am in VHO4 (Washington DC/Baltimore area).
I have the same message.
It says MASN2 and CSNMA+ are being realigned.
I am guessing that MAS2 will take CSNMA+ place and vice versa.
But who knows.
It is Feb 4th and nothing has changed. MASN still shows channels in their current locations.

Thanks Guys for your response. MASN SD 1 and MASN 2 HD has been restored in the same location. It is a mystery, but it is back now. GO NATS! I did contact both Verizon and MASN.

In case you hadn't noticed, MASN 2 is now on channel 579. Channel 501 has a redirect to this channel now.
