For those of you who were interested in al jazeera english i have been able to confirm that it is set to air on fios in september on channel 466 for people in the new york/ new jersey area and the schedule is already up on zap 2 it. If you go to that website just put in your area code if you are in new york or new jersey to see what their programming schedule looks like. I also just spoke to the person who is a publicist and is responsible for the marketing of what was the previous channel on channel 466 that was called mega tv where she told me that they have just reached an agreement with an affiliate in new york so for the people who were angry about that channel no longer being on the air it will be back in september as they are set to announce the deal for it to be available in the tri state area so that new york and new jersey viewers can see it again. The 1.9 interactive media guide or IMG will finally be available for people in september in new jersey as i have been able to confirm that too where you will immediately get the latest version of it which is 1.9a and down the line at some point 1.9b. There are also a bunch of spanish channels that are also going to be added to the spanish package in september too so starting next week you will be seeing big changes to the guide if you live in the tri state area. Now if only verizon could correct their guide issues about how a lot of the channels that are on the guide do not match and the schedules that they have are outdated then everything would be perfect.
