Verizon FIOS

PO Box 11328

St Petersburg, FL 33733

In July I contacted Verizon, my bill was too high. To lower my bill he agent was to send me a box to ship back a receiver.  That box never came.  After 2-1/2 hours on the phone with the agent that was after being disconnected several times.  It was a very frustrating time for me.  The had to re-boot my set box that night to fix it too.

The agent and I went through each channel I was receiving and because there were channels I did not want to lost I kept the extreme package that I have. Of course I had to agree to a 2 year contract as well, so I agreed to the contract for the channels I had and kept the Extreme package.

The problem is Verizon broke that contract when they illegally took the Universal channel out of my lineup after it was agreed upon and moved it to the high price package.

I am told that in my bill in July verizon said they were stealing this channel so that makes it ok. Well, it does not I have a binding contract and either want my channel back or let thius letter serve as notice that I am leaving Verizon without any fees or penalties since they stole my channels. Now you are notified so its the same thing you did to me.

Sincerely,

Verizon didn't illegally do anything. If you read the terms of service/contract you will see they can add, change and remove channels anytime they want. It's all in there and you agreed to it. Just because you signed a contract doesn't mean they can't do what they want with their channel lineup. ALL cable providers do this.

I would suggest next time asking for a copy of any terms of service/contract and reading through it before agreeing to it that way you will know what they can and can't do, so there are no surprises like this, etc..
