Have had FIOS TV for 8 years now & was fairly happy until recently.  Have package with all premium channels.  Last onth they took away CINEMAX but didn't lower my cost.  I hate commercials & don't like to DVR programs that I plan to watch right away but don't like commercials so I tune in ahead of time & up to an hour after it starts, switch to that channel &  back it up to the start, then I can bypass commercials (for sports have to make sue I don't see highlights of the game on Twitter, etc).  Several times over the last few weeks Verizon has done their Emergency Notifications during prime time, which wipes out the last hour so I lose most of the game.  I've seen these notifications during the daytime in the past - why in the world do they now do them in prime time?

Cable providers don't control when Emergency Notifications happen.

Especially if they were for real events (vs a test).

This is controlled by the local government

Who do I contact in my 'local government' concerning when emergency 'tests' are performed?

See if you have a county or local  emergency management office.
