Does anyone at verizon even care about the fact that there are a lot of channels that are on the guide that do not match what it is that should be there? When a customer has to use an online guide of other providers to try to figure out how the guide should be so that you can tape things for people to watch with the incorrect names of the programs on there then you know that there is something not only profoundly wrong but it has become quite clear that the people who should be trying to fix the problem could care less about the issues that exist with the guide and have no interest in correcting the issues at hand. It is a new year and the problems with the guide data continue to get worse where as we enter a new year there will be a lot of customers whose contracts will be coming to an end where they will have to make a decision as to whether they want to keep you as their provider or not. Do not be surprised when people start to go elsewhere for their services because they are paying for packages where the channels do not match what is on the guide and people are also paying for dvrs that are useless if the data does not match. There is a network data group within your own company who is being paid to make sure that all of the data on the guide is accurate who can very easily get these issues corrected with emails with the lists of channels that are wrong by contacting your guide provider if they are made aware of these issues but it appears that no one is doing so based on how wrong the guide is. If you can get in touch with that group then try to get a hold of one of their managers because clearly the people in that network data group are either asleep at the wheel where they could care less about correcting the issues or they refuse to correct the problems because it makes them look bad and incapable of doing their jobs when someone points out the issues that exist. Whichever one it is the bottom line is that the entire company looks bad and anyone who is in the united states who has you for their tv service is not getting what they are paying for so please make the necessary changes so that everyone who is having these problems can finally be able to enjoy fios tv as it was meant to be enjoyed with an accurate up to date guide. Your spanish package is almost entirely wrong where i think that in most cases you are running the schedules of the countries that those channels are from. 1582 utilisima is entirely wrong and never matches. Cnn espanol 1540 does not match in the mornings, at night and on the weekends. 1664 ritmoson is about an hour off right now. Abc news now 108 is a channel where nothing matches. 229 soundtrack channel becomes a korean channel from 5pm-3am 7 days a week. A movie named "roadie" that will be on channel 746 3 times in a row is a free preview of a movie that will be on tomorrow starting at 7:30pm which has the listing of a 1980 when it is a different movie from 2012. Another movie called "thirst" is listed as a korean vampire movie but is an american movie playing on the movie channel. Caso cerrado on telemundo at 4pm is a judge show not a cop show as the guide indicates plus the 9pm show on 474 is wrong along with a show called planeta ferroz which is an animal show not a weather show as the guide indicates. Fios 1 continues to list the wrong sporting events at night 5 days a week where it said that a basketball game should have been on but instead a footbal game was on tonight. 1549 canal sur is wrong in the mornings 5 days a week where two shows from two different countries are listed wrongly so it is hard to tape the one i want to tape. Tv colombia is wrong. Supercanal is also wrong. The dominican channel is wrong too and infinito from argentina is wrong. Please fix the guide issues asap.

I'm also upset that the guide data is frequently wrong. I never had this problem with my previous provider so it makes me very upset to think that I'm paying for this lousy service! Looking back in this post, I can see that others have been complaining about the same situation for several years yet Verizon still uses the same guide provider and gets away with it.

I notice most of the problem with PBS. I record the show, then right before showtime the recorder states that the show is not  available to record. Then the guide displays  a different show for that time slot in error since my selected show was on and I missed it. My recorder was only 10% full so that's not the problem.

Also they frequently post a show in all stations as new when it isn't. They fail to give a current description of most shows.

Since I have experienced a previous provider that had a great guide data, I know that Verizon can improve this service to its customers. Spend some of that advertising money ( I get flyers in the mail several times a week) on better service to the customers you already have!....

Please Verizon......respond to this post for the benefit of all your customers.

The data on the guide has been wrong for many years going back a very long time where customers have come to accept it as the status quo where they just expect everything that is on the guide to be wrong. I have had an open ticket going back at least four years in my view which they continue to close over and over again where i always have to reopen it as they do not end up working on the issues that i have pointed out that are wrong with the guide not only for myself but for others who have similar issues with the guide who are not able to get in touch with the people that can correct things because their trouble tickets all end up getting closed without their knowledge as they assume that verizon techs are working on solving the issues when in fact they are not. By the time when people inevitably find out that their tickets were not worked on and that they were closed without being informed about the problems not getting corrected it frustrates people to the extent where they either drop the fios side of their triple play for direct tv or they go back to their local cable provider for their triple play. If you think pbs is bad then you should check out the movie channels that either have the wrong movie listed or the start and end times of movies are off where it throws off the movie channels to the point where it is a guessing game as to what movie will be playing and when. The worst of all though is the spanish package where it has been wrong since day 1 that i have had it and probably a lot longer than that where i have been paying for a package that does not match on many of their channels but recently it has gotten better but there are still issues with it. Even a channel like msnbc that should be correct is pulling the wrong data in the mornings at 5am for a show called "first look" which is a first look at the news in the morning show but the guide has it listed wrongly as a show that is all about byu film students who discuss their film projects with members of their faculty. You would be a lot better off posting what is wrong with the guide on here where you come up with a list of what you see is wrong rather than create tickets because guide tickets from my experience rarely get worked on. Verizon says that the problems remain with the channels themselves who are providing them with the wrong outdated data but that is not true. There are many cable tv and satellite tv providers who have the same channels that verizon has where they are running the most up to date schedules that should be on those channels so the problems that exist are with their data group that is responsible for making sure that the guide it up to date along with their guide provider. I have spoken to verizon's guide provider who told me that if verizon does not inform them that customers are having issues with the channels not matching then the old schedules will continue to run. You should post what your guide issues are on here and when you see a thread about the guide being wrong give it a kudo and add to what people are saying is wrong by providing info about your issues.

As an update to this thread i want to inform those of you at verizon that cnn channel 100 sd 600 hd is wrong in the mornings, late at night and on the weekends. The guide on weekdays has your money from 4am-5am, american morning wake up call from 5am-6am and american morning listed from 6am-9am as the shows that should be on from 4am-9am when in fact what should be on at 4am-5am is world business today, early start from 5am-7am and starting point with soledad o'brien from 7am-9am. Another thing that continues to be wrong on cnn is that the repeat of the erin burnett outfront show that should be listed at 2am is not there and instead what is listed is 2 hours of the anderson cooper 360 show when that show is only 1 hour long. It is listed correctly tonight but not for the next few weeks. Cnn on the weekends especially in the mornings on saturday from also has wrong data where you have two old shows with hosts that are no longer on the network plus a lot of what is listed on the weekends is wrong. The 6am-7:30am show is not up to date and the same goes for the 8am-9:30am show. The 9:30am show is also wrongly listed where the description for it is inaccurate. Cnn newsroom which is often at least 1 hour long is listed as a half hour show on sunday nights at 7pm just to give you an example of one of the many cnn newsroom shows that are wrong on the weekend. Cnn espanol also is wrong at 11am where the 11am show is listed as starting at 11:15am-12pm when it is a 1 hour show. Msnbc is another channel that has something weird going on in the mornings 5 days a week. The 5am show which is called first look and is a first look at the news in the morning program is listed on the guide as "linzie janis discusses overnight news and how it could affect europe" where when you press info to make it bigger it is described as "students enrolled in bringham young university's media arts program discuss the creative vision behind their student films with peers and faculty members." Now i have no idea how you can be pulling two different descriptions for the same programs that bear no resemblance to each other or what should be on the guide but this is what continues to be an issue not only on channels like these but also with many of the other channels on the guide. I see you finally dropped the message and channel that was once universal sports on 464 which no longer exists but you still have channels 394 and 894 on the guide even though those were moved to 234 and 734 a long time ago where 394 & 894 are just taking up space on the guide. There are also no schedules at all for channels from el salvador 1509, dominican view 1548 and kuwait tv 1781 plus there is no first news flash on fios 1 on saturday mornings where what is playing instead of local news is paid programming.
