HD Extreme Bundles vanished?

This month my agreement expires, but I should still be within my two year price guarantee since it has been a year since I changed bundles. I hope Verizon honors the guarantee for another year since all the good bundles have vanished. Any ideas what goes with this? I had been thinking of upgrading my bundle if something should change, but now what. No bundles other than the minimum stuff?

Prisaz,

Adding a set top box (SD or HD) or any premium add on channel (not included in the bundle) does not impact on the bundle that a customer would already have.  The 24 month price lock would only be affected if the bundle was changed.

Does this help?

Well

I had the same question.

I called FiOS and yes, they were not to be found.....UNTIL......

I said the phrase 'Well, if that is the case, I'll be going to RCN when my bundle ends next weel'

Amazingly, they applied a new 'competitor' bundle, upped my internet from 20/5 to 25/15 and charged me $10 LESS a monty for 12 months bundle again, 2 year price guarantee.

Give it a try.

My current bundle is $156.98 for HD Extreme,20/5,phone,all the movies channels including HBO,Cinemax, the Movie pack AND EPIX and an HD DVR.

(Epix and the DVR are addons)

I EXPECT to have something similar but i need not worry till 2011.

Updated and revised detail. The site appears to be updated or fixed. When the minimum bundle is displayed online click on the Get Started. Optional bundles should display after you provide your location information or phone number. Extreme, other features, speeds and options are displayed after following this proceedure. This is a bit confusing and I do not believe displayed like this last time I looked. I think the button should say "Get started or Choose Other Bundles" This would improve the perception and show that there are other options available. At least it showed more bundles for my account or phone number. I am going to push to have this improved.

Prisaz,

Thank you for letting us know about the difficulty you experienced on our website and how it can be improved to give our online customers a better understanding of all their bundle choices available to them.

I have referred this thread information to the Bundle web application team to take a look at your suggestion.

Just to clarify...about your Price Guarantee.  I did some checking around 😃  When you change your bundle after 12 months and add a component or change plans, a new 12 month commitment and a new 24 month price lock  (or price guarantee)is in place.

However, if your bundle contract expires after the 12 months and you do nothing  but keep your services the same (no new features, or higher speed...etc) you will be able to enjoy the same rate without increase for the next 12 months (per the 24 month price guarantee).  It is after that original 24 month period expires that you would be subject to an increase/decrease if there was a change to the market pricing.

I hope this helps!

Thank you again for bring the website to our attention.  We definitely appreciate it!

Regards,

Jaime_Lee

Wow you are great! This information is good. I know there are others that have had the same concerns. Perhaps this information is a good one for the FAQ. "Just to clarify...about your Price Guarantee." I have read somewhere here that others were under the impression that you had to call and recommit. For these tough times, that may make some concerned about locking in for another year if they wanted nothing changed on their accounts. I do understand that if the bundle cost increases or decreases during the last 12 months of the 24, you would be subject to the new market prices. You did a very good job of explaining it.

THANK YOU.

Let me bring this back to the top. Now it's a 24 month commitment and a 12 month price lock. I am in my second year now. If I add or change a STB does that break the deal? I was thinking of adding another HD box but not with the current bundles. Unless they get it Ultimately fixed. I don't want movies as part of a bundle but want all normal HD. Can't get that anymore? Wife is screeming DTV and Spanish package. They do have the most spanish programming. I like my FIOS.

Ok let's see - I have old extreme hd with fios phone (freedon essentitials) now want to upgrad to fios digital voice (no tv package change) no internet change -  now remember digital voice was not previously available and is not shown on any online bundles -  but yet today a rep insisted I had to renew my bundle - at tjhat point I declined  and said I would take more time to think about it. I am currently working with a forum vz_rep on this  - hopefully I will be able to keep my current extreme hd package and 2 yr price guarantee  which expires in  Nov 2011

I think what is saying is this. If you change or add channels such as premium movie channels or set top box hardware it does not change your bundle. But if you change internet speed or phone service that is not part of your current bundle configuration, you would be changing the items bundled. Changing any of the items bundled would require a new bundle. The hardware and premium channels are not part of the bundle until now, if you get Ultimate HD. Digital phone service is not the same as Verizon Freedom Essentials, so you would be changing the items bundled.

Please correct me if I am wrong.
