I have the Extreme HD bundle but no HBO/SHO channels

According to my channel lineup on the website, I'm supposed to get HBO, SHO, and FLIX as part of my extreme HD bundle. But I don't get any of those channels. I've been an extreme HD subscriber for years now and I've never gotten those channels. Anyone else have the same problem?

I don't think those channels are included with extreme.  Showtime, TMC, Cinemax, and Epix are included with "Ultimate HD" (which is a step higher than extreme).  HBO is not included with anything - you have to subscribe to it.

Oh ... I see ... if you are in New York, apparently HBO is included with Extreme.  (It's not for the rest of us.)

I don't know if it will be the same thing for you, but when I wanted to watch NFL Redzone (which is included with my ultimate HD), I had to tune to the channel and hit the button to subscribe, which then told me that because it was included in my package, I could subscribe for $0.  Maybe you need to do the same thing?  I'm assuming with Redzone that it's because Verizon is paying $$$ per subscriber and they don't want to pay it for people who don't actually watch the station.

It depends on where you live. If you looked up channel lineup by your zip and it is included, change to the channel and press ok to subscribe. If the on screen menus tells you there is an additional charge for the channel, stop and call in to tech support.

Previously posted with the same complaint. I live in NY with the Extreme plan and I've been complaining with support about this. They won't budge, however, saying that only new customers get it for 3 months and they they have to pay. I find that untrue though and I'm still working on it.

Thanks for the replies. I am supposed to get hbo/sho in my area as part of the extreme package. I tried to subscribe through TV and they were going to charge me. I really don't know what else to do. I feel like Verizon is false advertising.

So I've tried talking with verizon chat support. they could only tell me that i wasn't subscribed to the premium channels. they have no idea why nor were they able to help. Apparently, some people in NYC get those channels as part of the extreme package and some don't. Though when I check my channel lineup under my verizon services, it says I get HBO/SHO. Anyway, I'm just going to lodge a complaint with the BBB since it's false advertising.

I wish I got some movie/premium channels included with my TV plan (even though I only have the preferred package).  Why does it seem like there is a huge discrepancy between the Comcast Preferred package and what Verizon has to offer?

For example, FLIX, FXX, Universal HD, MLB, NBA, NFL Network and the Encore Family of Networks are ALL included with Comcast's preferred package but not with Verizon Fios preferred.  What gives - do I really have to upgrade to the Extreme package to get some channels that should be included with the preferred package?
