There is an incredible surge of sports app content. The main reason I have FiOS or cable in general, is sports. Now that I am able to purchase a lot of sports content outside of FiOS, it is a reason for me to look to 'cutting the cable cord'. The best part of cable packaging is to get everyone 'their' channel, and getting the cost as low as possible. So far, the additional content that I would like included in a sports package deal:
ESPN+
Tennis Channel Plus
NBC Sports Gold
Bleacher Report
CBS All Access
Why would verizon or any other cable provider sell a package of streaming apps?
Why would streaming services give up some if their revenue to a cable provider when they can sell directly to the consumer?
