Thank you Fios for dropping the Fox channels.  Does that mean you are giving me a credit for each day that I do not receive a service that I have a contract for?  If I didn't pay part of my bill because I didn't like one channel I suspect that you would cancel me, wouldn't you.

All of you need to stop using excuses for not carrying national network channels that bring us local entertainment and news.

Stop wasting our time and get FOX back on the system.  If not, I'll expect a credit on my next bill.

I wish people would actually take a few seconds and read some of the informative posts on this thread rather then just pointing a finger with no facts. Fios did not drop Fox. Fox removed themselves from Fios.

Also, actually read your contract because it says right in there channels can be changed, removed, added, etc. at anytime.

If you honestly think you deserve a credit because the channel was removed then you don't know how all cable providers work.

This situation is no different from what other providers go through at some point. The channel will come back at some point, but Verizon isn't going to just cough up money that easily. You don't understand how much more Fox wants per subscriber to carry their channel.

If you want Fios to just cough up the money Fox is demanding then expect your bill to go up. Complain now, but you'll complain later as well.

I too think it stinks that Fox is gone.  I also think we should get an adjustment in our bill for not having the package we pay for.  I watch a lot of shows on Fox not to mention football.

I don't care how the cable system works, I want Fox 25 back on the air. If Verizon doesn't fix the situation soon, accounts will be lost to Comcast. Why don't you drop some of the hundreds of lousy channels that nobody ever watches to pay the Fox broadcast.

And then when Comcast's agreement is up and they go through the same thing, Comcast accounts will be lost to Verizon.

And as I am signing up for Comcast and saving almost 50 per month for the next two years I will deal with it using my antenna. Thanks Verizon for helping me look into it. Too bad you don't give deals to your longterm customers/

You are correct about the contract being clearly written.  You're also correct in saying that we don't understand how much Fox wants to increase the rate per subscriber because Verizon has completely left us in the dark in regard to this subject.  That is, of course, with the exception of the email I received Thanksgiving morning after the fact the channels were removed.

Fox sends out its signal over the airwaves.  Anyone with a digital converter box and rabbit ears can pick up the channel.  However, I'd be just as happy paying a few dollars more to be able to watch football.  Especially on Thanksgiving.

When will this dispute be resolved. I just renewed my services and FOX was listed as available! Now it's gone. Don't want to switch providers but this seeming disregard for it's customers is very disheartening.

Back in 2004 we left Verizon because they left us high and dry after our phone service went out. They told us it would take about a week to get a tech out to check our lines. We immediately called Comcast and we were hooked up within 24 hours. I stupidly fell for the low package price Verizon offered us back in July. It was a nightmare switching over to Verizon and the router stinks. Now this! We're scheduled to have Comcast installed this Saturday and I can't wait to be done with this company. Their service stinks and their customer website is a nightmare. I'll be paying about the same to Comcast for more channels.

If you switch to Comcast they'll give you a prepaid Visa card worth at least $100 which can be used to offset any termination fees Verizon wants to charge. Just saying.
