Losing Channels, Appeal, and patience

I am becoming disillusioned with FIOS, over the past year they took Fearnet off the options.  Then, when I re-upped my plan a few weeks ago, the rep said the package would be the same for basically the same cost.  No problem.  However, when I was flipping thru my channels, I noticed another favorite, Chiller, was not available on my package.  It was offered on my old package, but on the new package it was not.  When I complained to the customer service rep a few minutes ago, he said that I should not have had the channel under my old package, which puzzled me.  I had my little channel guide they sent me 2 years ago that had the channel listed, so I guess they must have eliminated it during my contract time and grandfathered me in until I renewed the contract.  Of course they probably "gave" me additional channels that no one cares about like the grass growing network, or a duplicate of another channel I already get but do not watch.  I seriously considered Brighthouse this last go around, and after this experience with Verizon, Brighthouse is looking even more inviting.  I tried to complain to Verizon, but I am only 1 out of a million customers, so obviously my voice carries no weight.  I also tried to go onto the live chat with Verizon, but kept getting booted off due to high customer demand.  Guess a lot of customers are unhappy and needing customer service.
