I don't know how often, but they do supposedly read the forums. I feel better that Joe (@fiostv) is acknowledging this, but it just baffles me why they don't have the channel already if they are nowhere near capacity like he claims. Maybe it's an issue of upgrading equipment at the VHO's, but he seems very confident that there is plenty of space for more HD, and that we will see more of it "soon".

MASN2 HD??

04-26-2010 - I find it rather amusing, for lack of a more honest word, that Verizon Fios is a main sponsor of MASN Orioles television programming this season, YET, MASN2 HD is not a channel that is offered by them.  As a Fios TV customer, I am personally offended by the never-ending onslaught of advertisements that say, "EVERY game, EVERY play in HD, blah, blah, blah".

It is RIDICULOUS that MASN2 HD is not offered.  Shame on you Verizon.

Caps are done, so it's back to baseball. Unfortunately, the Nationals @ Marlins are on MASN2 HD all weekend. Has anyone mentioned yet that Verizon is the only MASN HD provider that doesn't have this? Maybe so.

I'll admit that this isn't nearly as bad as when we didn't get CSN+ at all during most of the hockey season, but it's pretty annoying, especially just after paying over $200 for this month's bill.

It's because what Joe is telling you is not true.

When will FIOS give us MASN 2HD??

I lie in No. VA about 18 miles from DC and this week all the MASN games on the only MASN HD channel were of the Orioles, not the home town Nats.  Why won't FIOS give us MASN2 HD?

OK, so I just left my stone-age cave, bought my first HDTV, and upgraded from FIOS SD to HD.  Couldn't wait to see my Nats in Hi-Def, baby!  Much to my disappointment (and to Peter Angelos's delight, I'm sure), the Nats are always in SD when the O's are playing.  Why?  There is NO MASN2 HD.  Unacceptable.  Period.

If Vz can't fix this soon, I'm packing my bags and heading back to Cox.

O's fans can feel your pain - the Nats actually got more MASN HD time instead of MASN2 HD earlier in the season. Seems MASN has decided to put games versus 'premier' teams (Red Sox, Yankees, Phillies, Mets) on MASN, while games versus 'lesser' teams are relegated to MASN2.

Emailed Customer Service yesterday and received this response (obviously a canned one) today.  I am NOT optimistic about MASN2 in HD anytime soon.  CSR's name removed by me.

I got my "weekly spotlight" e-mail from Verizon this morning-

THE BEST IN HD SPORTS IS ON FiOS

The best in HD entertainment brings you the newest sports packages and events for your enjoyment. MLB Extra Innings, MLS Direct Kick, and Yankees on YES are available now on FiOS, plus a huge variety of PPV events including UFC, WWE, and more! And with amazing picture quality, FiOS is the only way to experience the best in HD sports.

While I do appreciate all of the HD pay-per-view content, along with the rollout of GAME HD2, I cannot understand why Verizon wants to talk about the Yankees on my weekly spotlight when I'm in the Nationals-Orioles region. Besides that, not carrying all of their games in HD seems to be another slap in the face. Verizon is fighting to get access to MSG HD and MSG+ HD, and rightfully so, but MASN2 HD is being offered to them and they can't get seem to get things together so we can see it.

I agree that FiOS is the only way to experience the best in HD sports, but not if it's on MASN2.
