I'm tired of missing Flyer's games because verizon doesn't or won;t carry CN8.

CN8 is a Comcast only channel.

P.S. According to Wikipedia.  CN8 will be closing down in 2009.

As a Flyers fan myself, I also hate when games are broadcast on CN8. But, there are so few that are on CN8 that I can live with it. After going through the Flyers schedule, there have only been 2 games on CN8 so far. Here is the remaining schedule of games that are due to run on CN8:

Friday 12/26/08  @Chicago

Tuesday 1/6/09  @Washington

Sunday 3/15/09  @NY Rangers (also NBC)

Sunday 4/12/09  vs.NY Rangers (also NBC)

So, by the looks of it we should only miss 2 more games since the last 2 are national broadcast games.

Lets Go Flyers!

You can catch them somewhere over the net as well.  The only thing I'm affraid of is that CN8 as it is is going out business but becoming just the Comcast Network after which they mainly do the Philly and Washington areas sports and news. I think Comcast will put even more games on there next year and loss channel 57 as well. Comcast does not care for Verizon having CSN and will give it to local sports fans now with Verizon anyway they can. I heard from alot of Comcast cusomers who have watched the 2 games on CN8 and they aren't REALLY pleased with the picture as it probably would be better if they watched over the net at least they can see it right. 

Yep one of the main reasons I switched to Verizon was them having CSN....of course Verizons price and also almost 100% better picture and sound.

Oh yea I can live without the 4 games that would never force me to go back to Comcast, Again I think next season they add more games to the Comcast Network....because thats the kind of company Comcast is.

once verizon got sportsnet it was sign me up. been great since that point. a few cn8 games missed i can live with.
