Everyday, and sometimes several times a day, when I try changing the channel I end up with a blank screen (black) with the message "Channel Unavailable."  The only fix is to unplug the Set Top Box (STB), then reconnect it.  So I'm unplugging my STB anywhere from 1-4 times per day.  This is incredibly frustrating.  I've contacted Verizon Support and it's a "known issue" that a pending firmware update will resolve.  ETA of the firmware update is unknown.  I've been a FiOS customer since 10-17-08...honestly, this is getting ridiculous.

I have the same issue, as does a friend of mine. Call tech support every time it happens. They *really* need to get this fixed.

Thanks for the list! Is this firmware update automatically applied?

Your cable box SHOULD update automatically overnight.

Are these dates still accurate? I live in Berwyn Heights, MD (I am assuming that I am covered under the Silver Spring VHO), but I have not seen the firmware update yet. Do I need to request this update from a CSR?

Plastic-

Those were the old rollout dates. A new schedule is in place, but has not been announced.

For rule of thumb, add 1 1/2-2 months to each of those rollout dates shown below.
