Why? That is absurd to black out PA and parts of NJ who have no access to the game anywhere else. Verizon please let NFL know your customers are not happy about this.. I'm not a fan of either team, but wanted to watch some football..

I'm an hour north of LA and did not get the Charger game today.  I'm assuming the stupidity of the NFL considers this a "local" area for SD (3 hours away).  Way to promote your product.

Anyway, I am still not getting the NFL Network and it's showing the Cleveland-Green Bay game.  I cycled my set-top box and it still does not register 588 (or 88).

What's the next step?   Thanks!

The preseason games on NFL Network are only supposed to be shown "out of markets", and the NFL determines the markets to be within 90 miles of each team's city. Within those markets, local channels and regional sports networks have the exclusive rights to show these games. Even if no local channel is showing a game where you live, this is the NFL's way of getting fans to put the pressure on them to carry it. On the other hand, I live just outside of the Washington and Baltimore territories, so both regoinal networks (MASN and CSN Washington) are supposed to black out their games where I live. Bizarre.

Fortunately, all regular season games are national, so there aren't any blackouts unless your stadium doesn't sell out and the NFL deems you not worthy of seeing the game.
