Up to now, I've noticed that on numerous occasions the dates of the movies shown on the guide has been eliminated from the reviews.  Now I see most of the movies on the guide have the dates included but NO ACTORS who participated in the films production.  Many time I'd watch certain movies based on which actors are in the film.  Would love for you guys to restore this previous listings on your movies.

Also, as I have written in the past, I'd love to see a 1-4 star rating for the movies themselves.  If nothing else than as a starting point by which to view preferred films.  I realize that there is no accounting for taste, but there is certainly a lot of trash out there which would only be rated 1 star in anybody's book.  Why waste time viewing them when something more noteworthy is on at the same time.

Thanks for your considerations,

To see the actors, you have to drill down an extra step. If you are in the guide, you go to the movie in question. Once you see the description on the screen, hit the info button and it will bring up a more detailed list, including the cast.

As for the star ratings, I think you hit it on the head, everyone's taste is different and a star rating would not necessarily be accurate. Like for example, a group of my friends and still cannot agree on Waterwold with Kevin Costner. I think its a great movie. But some of my friends think it is about the worst movie ever made. So while I would probably give it 3 out of 4 stars, they wouldnt even give it 1. Its a good Idea for a star rating but I dont think it would work too well.

Not in the last day or two. They have mostly all disappeared in the last few days, for some reason. Eric promised over in his blog that we would see improvements in the Guide, perhaps this is part of that effort  Smiley Very Happy  (obviously I am just kidding, it is a shame to lose that info, without any additional information I would blame it on FYI Inc., the Guide data provider that Verizon unfortunately has chosen to use). The last time I checked it had not been fixed, cannot check now, am not at home.

Actually I just checked and as of Midnight this evening the casts have returned to the info portion of the guide.  Still I'd like to see some movie quality ratings incorporated into the guide.  Even though I hadn't agreed with all of them, TW included them and I believe cablevision does as well.  As i said earlier, it would be just a starting point upon which movies to choose.

Thanks for the return of the actors,  I'm sure they appreciate it.

Personally I'd just like to see accurate guide data.  Yes, all the bells and whistles would be nice, but basic accuracy is needed first (there are numerous posts here and on other boards about the poor guide information provided by Verizon and their provider FYI).

If a forum member gives an answer you like, give them the Kudos they deserve. If a member gives you the answer to your question, mark the answer as Accepted Solution so others can see the solution to the problem.

Amen to this!!! I do not regret for a second switching to Verizon last year, so many good things, but my biggest pet peeve is just how AWFUL the guide is. And I am not talking display or set-up but just how inaccurate and lacking in detail it is. For such a great product as FiOS to have such an unprofessional and amateurish guide is really shocking.
