NoVA - Ultimate HD -- Sports Pass -- Longhorn Network

When I signed up for a 2-year contract, the Longhorn Network was included in the Ultimate HD package.

I had that channel for several months (my service started around 10/2013).

Now I don't get it anymore because, it says that I don't have a subscription for it.

When I called, Verizon told me I had to pay an additional $10/mo for the Sports Pass package because those channels were no longer included in the Ultimate package.  Note, if you go to the website and look at the channel listings for Ultimate HD, it still includes all these channels.  When I log into my account, it says I should still have these channels.

What can I do about this?

Has anyone been able to get an informed Verizon person to explain how and why they can change terms and offerings like that mid contract?

Have you tried using the in home agent in the dvr menu? or tried unplugging the dvr/stb for a minute, plugging it back in and letting it reboot? It's probably just a glitch.

If they did in fact remove it for whatever reason they can do so. Its in the contract/tos.

This happened to me sometime back.  If you tune to the channel and it says you need to subscribe to Sports Pass, go ahead and "order" the sports pass through the channel.  After the order is complete, it will tell you that Sports Pass is included as part of the Ultimate package and that you won't be charged.

Comes in fine on my Ultimate HD package. I've never watched it except to check because of this thread. Does it broacast anything besides re-runs of Texas football games? And it's not even in HD to boot.
